GAÏA'S SPATIONAUTS...

Let's simplify things, and just use plain ''spationauts''.

All those nuances about astronauts (USA), cosmonauts (USSR \ Russia), or taikonauts (China) are becoming tiresome, troublesome and tedious. Soon, there will be spacemen and spacewomen launched by the space agencies of India, Japan, Israel, etc. Will we need a new word for each category?

Spationauts is so simple. Aren't they in space, in the big, empty, cold void? Aren't they space travellers, space explorers, space discoverers, like their land and sea predecessors in the long history of Terra? Are we stupid enough to feel forced to use novlangue words like Isranauts (for Israeli citizens), Bahranauts (for inhabitants of Bahrat, I mean India), Nipponauts (Nippon space travellers), Brazinauts (Brazilians space-navigators) etc.?

Why not Mormonauts (for American Mormons of Deseret)? Or even: Franconauts, Germanauts, Canadanauts, Australinauts, Coreanauts, Indonesianauts, Andorranauts, Monaconauts, Suominauts, Magyarauts, etc.?
