GAÏA'S SPATIONAUTS...

Let's simplify things, and just use plain ''spationauts''.

All those nuances about astronauts (USA), cosmonauts (USSR \ Russia), or taikonauts (China) are becoming tiresome, troublesome and tedious. Soon, there will be spacemen and spacewomen launched by the space agencies of India, Japan, Israel, etc. Will we need a new word for each category?

Spationauts is so simple. Aren't they in space, in the big, empty, cold void? Aren't they space travellers, space explorers, space discoverers, like their land and sea predecessors in the long history of Terra? Are we stupid eough to feel forced to use novlangue words like Israuts, if not Hebrauts (for Israeli citizens, especially the Hebrew-speaking one), Bahrauts (for inhabitants of Bahrat, I mean India), Nippauts (Nippon space travellers), Brazauts (Brazilians space-navigators) etc.?

Why not Mormauts (for American Mormons of Deseret)? Or even: Françauts, Germanauts, Canadauts, Australauts, Coreanauts, Indonesiauts, Andorrauts, Monacauts, Suominauts, Magyarauts, Austrauts, etc.

Aren't we all living (at least for now) on the third planet from the Sun?
Aren't we all humans?
Aren't we all Gaïa's children?
Aren't we all the offspring of that symbolic embodiement of Terran life?

Glory be to Gaïa, of whose substance we all spring...
