L'aide occidentale ne fera que prolonger ce conflit, sans l'empêcher de se terminer éventuellement par une victoire russe. Ce que Washington et Bruxelles souhaitent, c'est tout simplement de rendre le conflit aussi sanglant que possible, de faire saigner l'Ukraine et la Russie au maximum.

Just like Ukrainians before the Russian invasion, most Georgians wanted to join the European Union in the hope of becoming as affluent as Germans, Italians or Belgians. It is normal and understandable. The EU made much of that sentiment. But then, the path to prosperity is not th exclusive property of the West. It can also be followed in different ways, by becoming part of the BRICS economic association, for instance. If the BRICS is a good thing for India, Brazil or Saudi Arabia, it may also be useful for other countries, like Georgia or Ukraine, among others. The G-7 countries must stop thinking that they own the future and that they may dictate to the rest of the world. The Georgian government has understood that the geography of the country cannot be ignored, and that Russia is a closer neighbor than the European Union. As for the Ukrainians, it is quite possible that many are starting to understand that they're the pawns of America and Europe, used to bleed Russia as much as possible. Democratic ideals and values have little to do with the current war. It is more a matter of geopolitical realities, with two powerful political entities battling to control Ukraine, its population and its resources: the European Union and the Russian Federation.

Cette guerre dégénère et devient de plus en plus un abcès de fixation qui aspire tout vers elle: armes, munitions, financement, ravitaillement, renforts, etc. L'Iran envoie des drones, les Occidentaux des chars et des chasseurs, les Chinois des semi-conducteurs, les Nord- Coréens des obus et, maintenant, des ingénieurs militaires. L'escalade se poursuit, transformant peu à peu ce conflit régional en un affrontement quasi existentiel entre deux camps, l'Orient et l'Occident.

La Russie semble encore favorite comme gagnante ultime, mais la facture du sang n'arrête pas de s'allonger. Le conflit prend aussi d'autres dimensions avec le temps, de la mer Rouge au Liban, puis peut-être aussi un jour de l'Orénoque à l'Extrême-Orient, tout au long de la ligne de contact entre le monde économique bricsien et le monde économique occidental, le premier connaissant une lente expansion au détriment du second.

La Russie n'a essentiellement qu'à attendre quelques mois seulement, le temps que l'ancien président Trump devienne le nouveau président Trump, version 2.0.

Think about it: the expansion of NATO toward Eastern Europe, over many years, ostensibly in order to oppose Russia, is undeniably one of the causes of the Ukrainian War. And now, there's talk of expanding it to the Far East, this time against China.

Does that sound cautious, or does it sound provocative? Be honest. It is very clear and very evident that things are getting from bad to worse... Will we be wise enough not to fall into the abyss in the coming years?
