  Un grand conflit mondial s'est déclenché en février 2022, avec l'invasion de l'Ukraine par la Russie, ouvrant un premier théâtre d'opération entre les puissances eurasiatiques émergentes, centrées sur la Chine, et les puissances occidentales déclinantes, centrées sur les États-Unis. Ce monde est analogue aux pires navets du cinéma américain contemporain, les Transformers, Captain America, 300, The Woman King et autres productions de la même eau, celles-ci ayant peu à peu remplacé et supplanté d'autres pitreries du même genre, plus anciennes mais tout aussi ineptes, tels les Rambo, Commando, etc. Nous sommes loin de Citizen Kane, de The Grapes of Wrath, de Casablanca ou de productions semblables remontant à l'époque de plus en plus lointaine où l'Amérique était encore une puissance ascendante.
